OPT OUT…You’ll be glad you did. In a recent conversation with Wells Fargo’s John King, I learned an interesting fact. John was working on improving my Buyers’ credit score. He explained that, although the “prescreening” inquiries that show up on your credit report aren’t supposed to impact your FICO score….they often do. He advised my clients to go to OptOutPrescreen.com and “opt out” of the prescreening/preapproval process.
I KNOW this will not appeal to you if you ENJOY receiving a regular slug of “You’ve Been Pre-Approved” junk mail from credit card companies, but if you enjoy that you probably like root canals too.
