THE REAL (ESTATE) STORY

STATESMAN REALTY’s Pat Piccardo has had a good year. Congratulate him when you see him! Pat and fellow Statesman Realtor John Manguso (who is also ending this year with a bang) just closed another transaction this week. These guys are cookin’!

I feel like a proud Papa. My deliberately-small office of hand-picked Realtors is prospering. Veteran Broker Associate Don Brandt is Old Faithful (He may take issue with the “old” part), consistently serving the base of client-friends he has built up over thirty years or so. Longtime Realtor Sherry Dickhoff has become the trusted advisor to her own select group of clients (Sherry has big plans for this coming year!). And Greg Adams, my right-hand Assistant AND a fulltime Realtor with his own loyal clients, is finishing 2005 in style (It’s always nice to end the year with a few successfully closed transactions!).

WE ALL have a relatively small group of very special people to thank: Many of YOU! You know who you are. My friend and longtime mentor Brian Buffini asks this question: “Would you rather have a real estate practice that’s mile wide and an inch deep, or an INCH WIDE and a MILE DEEP?” My Associates and I recognize that we don’t need to work with everyone in town. In fact, we couldn’t! I’ve modeled the philosophy of working with a few nice people and asking them to refer me to their friends (Who are invariably ALSO nice people). That’s it. It works. Thanks again.
